AASL annual swimming competition a success

Aquatic Academy Sri Lanka held its second Annual Swimming meets on
recently at The British College Swimming Pool.
Aquatic Academy Sri Lanka which was founded in 2005 to provide
advanced coaching for young and talented swimmers to enable them to
perform at national and international water sporting events.
The chief guest at the annual swimming competition was Colombo North
Rotary Club President Marshad Barry. President of the Academy Vijitha
Fernando said "our main intention of hosting such an event annually is
to recognize and encourage our talented youngsters and to motivate them
towards successful career in the future giving the right guidance under
qualified trainers".
The Vice president of the Academy and Sri Lanka's dual Olympian
Swimmer Conrad Francis mentioned that this event is organized to give a
motivation to all young swimmers to perform well in future and come to
national and international level.
Secretary of the Aquatic Academy Sri Lanka Ravi Peiris thanked all
the swimmers who participated in the competition, well wishers, and
parents who gave the fullest support to make this competition is a grand
success. |
