Lake House athletes Udula and Shyam to run in Chinese Taipei

Lake House athletes Udula Peiris and Shyam Kumara have qualified to run in the Asian Masters Athletic Championships which will be held in Chinese Taipei from November 2 to 7.Udula and Shyam showed their excellence during the 26th Sri Lanka athletics Championships which concluded at the Sugathadasa Stadium in Colombo to reach qualifying standards of the Asian Meet.

Udula won the gold medal in the women’s 400m event and won a silver in the women’s 80 metres hurdles.Shyam won the 400 metres bronze medal in the tournament which saw over 750 athletes took part, representing Sri Lanka, India, Singapore, Turkey, and Malaysia.
