Dambulla development speeded
President Mahinda Rajapaksa directed Urban Development Authority (UDA)
to expedite the Dambulla city development and Dambulla sacred land
development activities, responding to a request of Rangiri Dambulu Chief
Incumbent Ven. Inamaluwe Sri Sumangala Nayaka Thera.
President Rajapaksa visited the Rangiri Dambulu temple and held
discussions with Chief Incumbent Nayaka thera.
The Thera urged the President to expedite the Dambulla city and
sacred land development and said though the development work is in
progress, a problematic situation has erupted.
The President phoned the UDA chairman and instructed him to speed up
the activities in the Dambulla area.
Central Province Governor Tikiri Kobbekaduwa, Chief Minister Sarath
Ekanayake and Chief of Presidential staff Gamini Senarath were also
present. |
