CR and FC take on Up Country Lions

CR and FC , who have suffered four successive defeats face the tough task of overcoming the vastly improved Up Country Lions in their Dialog 'A' division league rugby match at Longden Place today.

The red shirts who started the season with two successive wins over Army 22 - 20 and Air Force 44-27 then lost to Havelocks (7-38), Police (28-36), Navy ( 15 - 58) and Kandy SC (7-47) and are relying heavily on their two foreign players Luke Muggeridge and Sabir Slaimankhel.

The Up Country Lions are a confident lot after their 50 - 13 win over Air Force Former CR and FC ruggerites Srinath Sooriyabandara, Vishwamithra Jayasinghe, Sharo Fernando, Hasitha Perera and Nigel Ratwatte are likely to turn out for Up Country Lions today.
