Crackdown on drug menace

Dambulla Police has taken action to crack down on the drug menace in the area. A search operation was conducted in the Pelvehera area by the police who arrested a person with 70 mgs of heroin.

He pleaded guilty to the offence on being produced before the Dambulla district judge and magistrate S J Morawaka and was fined Rs 10,000.
