'No student will face an injustice over Z score'

The President will not allow any student to be affected by the Z score crisis, Youth Affairs and Skills Development Minister Dullas Alahapperuma said.

Addressing the new batch of the Lalith Athulathmudali Vocational Training Centre in Dehiwala, the minister said the President is concerned over the Z score issue.

He requested the students to be patient adding that there would be no injustice to any student from the Z score.

He asked them not to get carried away by some groups who attempt to use the students for petty political gains.

"A certain group sought a court verdict over the Z scores announced previously, and the court gave a ruling to change the method of the Z score calculation. The revised Z scores were released accordingly, and now the same group says the government is destroying the future of students" the Minister said.
