Gas prices down

The government has reduced the price of 12.5kg Laugfs and Litro domestic gas cylinders by Rs150 from midnight yesterday.

A Finance Ministry spokesman said the reduction was due to the decline in import costs.

According to the price revision, the new price of a 12.5 kg Laugfs and Litro domestic gas cylinder will be Rs 2,246.

Meanwhile, import duty on a number of essential commodities were also reduced from yesterday midnight.

The import duty on big onions, potatoes, sprats, fish, canned fish and dried fish has been reduced.
