Fadna products gets Agribusiness Awards
Fadna products which comes from Food and Nature (Pvt) Ltd., has been
awarded at the Agri Business Awards 2012, organised by the National
Agribusiness Council.
This award is for the value added contribution to the agriculture
sector of Sri Lanka, by developing innovative and modern herbal tea
products introduced by the Food Nature (Pvt) Ltd. Exports Manager Kevin
Rajapakse, had received the award from Lal de Mel - Chairman, Board of
Management Trustees, NAC and Harin Malwatte, Secretary General / CEO of
The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce who is seen looking on.
Queen Elizabeth prize for engineering
Nominations are encouraged from the public, engineering and science
academies, universities, research organisations and companies around the
world for The Queen Elizabeth Prize for Engineering which is worth
Sterlin Pounds one million. It is a new global engineering prize that
will reward and celebrate an individual or team of up to three of any
nationality, responsible for a ground-breaking innovation in engineering
that has been of global benefit to humanity. The prize aims to celebrate
the best and "serve to illuminate the sheer excitement of modern
engineering."
Nominations for the Queen Elizabeth Prize will close on September 14,
it will be presented by the Queen in Spring 2013. The Prize is funded by
an endowment and will be awarded biennially.
The British High Commission in Colombo encourages, universities and
companies in Sri Lanka and Maldives to make nominations for suitable
entries. |
