JTM introduces Vblock software to Sri Lanka

Just in Time Technologies (JTM), a leading systems integrator in Sri Lanka specialized in software and IT solutions announced its strategic alliance with the USA based Virtual Computing Company (VCC) marking a new era in rising cloud based computing in Sri Lanka.

Under the Strategic Alliance, products and services of VCE will be marketed in Sri Lanka, by the Just in Time Technologies and products will include Vblock and third party software, components from VCE.

"This is an exciting time for IT industries in Sri Lanka and domestic IT markets has shown significant growth. VCE products will have a good demand in Sri Lanka since many local companies' tend to start brand new date centres across the country.

Vblock is a tested and prefigured IT platform, which has the capability to reduce the cost of IT infrastructure, thereby giving enterprises the ability to accomplish their big computing requirements and to simplify the business related processes.

This secure, robust and ultra-efficient Vblock platform, will facilitate fast and cost-effective implementation of projects, maximizing returns while ensuring efficient management," Paul O' Connor , Director , channels, APJ-VCE stated at the event.

Customers will now have the opportunity and access to automated, rapid virtual desktop applications, deployment and management, allowing users to access their desktops from any device, reducing IT cost and improving secure, centralized data management with the use of Vblock.

VCE, the Virtual Computing Environment Company, was formed by Cisco and EMC with investments from VMware and Intel, with an objective of speeding up the adoption of converged infrastructure and cloud-based computing models, that dramatically reduce the cost of IT while improving time to market for their customers.
