English Premier League transfer Window opens

Arsenal

The Gunners faced a difficult time during the previous season without the Spanish pro Cesc Fabregas. They were crushed by the stronger forces in the Premier League, finishing 3rd place on the table, 19 points behind Champions and rivals Manchester City and United. Manager Arsene Wenger, with his red-hot temper, had to face the loss of the battle, but is determined to make a great comeback during the 2012-13 season, with a new, faithful addition to their Army, and a few new resolutions as well.

Lukas Podolski

German Podolski has a long history of playing football. Having been part of FC Cologne and Bayern Munich, anyone can expect perfection from the pro. He was eyed by Wenger as a tough and interesting player, practically, as Arsenal is very much into the creative side. The Gunners have been known to play to precision with a border of artistic fashion to themselves. Podolski has been long committed to Cologne, having joined the club way back in 1995. His talents were realized in 2003 when the lad started representing the club's youth side, and was invited to the main team the same year. In 2006, teams such as Liverpool, Hamburger, Bayern Munich, and even Real Madrid had placed their bets on Podolski. However, Munich were the luckiest, and quickly won the boy's heart. Controversial to their enthusiasm, Lukas returned to Cologne in 2010.

Arsenal have bright eyes for eyeing good players such as Podolski. They purchased him for an undisclosed fee of £10m. The fruitful purchase will do the London side a lot of good as well, as they were a bit off-colour last year. His International career is indeed an impressive one. He represented Germany in the EURO Cups 2004 as well as 2008, and the World Cup in 2006 and 2010 as well. Perhaps the most interesting is his star studded performance in the EURO 2012, as he led his country to better heights than they had held previously. Lukas is indeed worthy of mention in Arsenal's Army, as he will lead the pack of soldiers to higher grounds than before.

The English Premier League closed with a bang last season with the Citizens Manchester City crowned as reigning champions. As soon as the curtains were drawn on the season, all teams started battling for available players.

Manchester United suffered a terrible blow last season and do not want to make the same mistake again; and extravagant Manchester City are keen on making newer purchases to add to their loaded team. Chelsea, on the other hand, have shocked the entire world of football, as you will find out, Arsenal have made a neat buy, and Liverpool are still on the run.

Manchester United

Manchester United narrowly missed the Premier League trophy last season; and are back with more for the upcoming season of entertaining football. They are famous for making meticulous purchases that last them a season of victory, and these purchases are but few; United are a moderate side who limit their purchases every season.

Shinji kagawa

The Japanese striker was noticed by the sharp eyes of Sir Alex Ferguson as a sharp footballer who really knew how to play the game. Signed from Borussia Dortmund, the player is extremely talented, and a real United star, as people are generally talking about during the season close. The pro has been playing football since he was just a young lad of five, and, as the years passed on, he turned out to be an excellent Japanese footballer, entering the professional side of the Japanese League before he graduated from High School.

This purchase has been a rare one, but Manchester United have been known to buy players from all countries, resulting in a truly universal side.

Their purchases during the recent past included a Mexican as well. Shinji has mingled well into the side, and the current news from Old Trafford says that he is doing very well during their practice sessions. Further, a few players have been destined to leave the club-namely; Michael Owen, Tomasz Kuszczak, Ritchie de Laet, and Matty James.

Manchester United are known to make less purchases, but it is these few purchases that have led their team to being a most professional side, with the unbeatable passes and glorious goals. All that's on fans' lips is that this season should be a fruitful one for the Red Devils, complete with a new addition: Shinji Kagawa.

Chelsea

Chelsea have by far been the most shocking side this season, and have turned the tables on the world of football. The reason for this is simple: they have purchased the most-wanted player of the two most prestigious sides-Manchester United and City.

Eden Hazard

Being the most wanted player in the Premier League by the leading sides may be a happy thought foe many, but Eden Hazard was bought by Chelsea even before the battle for his purchase was over. Rivals United and City were rumoured to have purchased the pro, but the Blues were faster than them, and Hazard has declared Stamford Bridge his new home.

The 21 year old Belgian was sighted by Manager Roberto di Matteo, as he is a nimble, capable player and makes miracles happen on the field. Hazard is known for his creativity, speed, and technical ability and is described as a "fearless, explosive attacking midfielder who can change the game with a turn of pace or dribble".

He has also been appreciated as a 'Defenders' nightmare' due to his excellent football. Chelsea has it all in their crown, with a new feather to their cap: Eden Hazard is here to stay, changing Chelsea's bad luck during the previous season to a very profitable one indeed.

Marko martin

Marko Marin is another clever purchase by the London side. The German youngster has been famed for his creativity, versatility, acceleration, dribbling, and praised as 'One who can take up the game on his own'.

This package completes Chelsea's needs and desires. With such a footballer who can score as well as scare, Chelsea's worries are far behind. Known as the German Messi, Marko has been playing football ever since he was a very small child.

This interest of his and the keenness to learn more has intrigued the Blues, who are a very lucky side this year, with all pomp and glory on their behalf.

Marin has been training now with Chelsea, so that he can enhance his powerful dribbling and let all colours of his vivid creativity flow rapidly on the famous football field. If there are sides to look for this year, it is wise to fear Chelsea, as their new players will not let their team down, under any circumstance.

These two will be a part of their first team for every game that the Blues host or be guests at, and so their Army keeps marching on, all eyes on their flag rippling in the triumphant breeze.
