Royal and St.Peter's declared joint champions

The Sri Lanka Schools Rugby Football Association has decided to make Royal College and St.Peter's College joint champions of the 2010 Milo trophy knockout rugby tournament. This decision was taken by SLSRFA after the District Court of Colombo gave an order dismissing with costs a case filed by parents of players and some old boys of Isipatana College.

The semi-final match between St.Peter's and Isipatana was abandoned when a section of the crowd threw stones at the players when St.Peter's were leading 14 - 0.

The SLSRFA ordered the match to be played from the time it was stopped due to the disruption.Isipatana did not agree and asked for a replay as a new match. Then parents of players and some old boys went to courts and the final between Royal and St.Peter's which was scheduled for July 23, 2010 was not played due to a stay order by the Court.
