Cambrians beat Wesley

An opening partnership of 61 runs between Sri Lanka Schools under-19 cricketer Kusal Mendis and vice captain Suchira Fernando enabled Prince of Wales to defeat formidable Wesley College by nine wickets in their Inter-school Under-17 Division One Tournament cricket match played at Moratuwa.

Visitors taking the first lease were all out for 130 runs and Cambrians notched up the required score for the loss of one wicket and Ashen Mendis was unbeaten on 43 runs.
