Lankan Air Force personnel in Tambaram not sent back - ministry

The External Affairs Ministry yesterday denied media reports that Sri Lankan Air Force personnel undergoing training at the Tambaram Air Base in Chennai are to be sent back to Sri Lanka due to protests of Tamil Nadu politicians.

Foreign Ministry Secretary Karunathilake Amunugama said the Air Force personnel have been sent to an Air Force base in Kerala to ensure their protection.
