Speeding bus overturns

A private bus with 60 passengers travelling from Vavuniya to Mullaithivu at high speed turned turtle while overtaking another vehicle.

The driver who lost control could not prevent the bus from banging against a bridge.

The bus turned over thrice with passengers inside. Thirty nine passengers including three children were injured and admitted in a critical condition to the Vavuniya hospital and Anuradhapura hospital.

Thandikulam Police are investigating.
