Foreigner held for selling clothes

The Police Special Task Force arrested a foreigner who was illegally selling clothes in the Kalmunai area.The officers, including two female officers attached to the Kalawanchikudi camp, arrested the woman with garments valued at Rs. 22,000.

Sixteen shirts, four sarees, 10 Shalvars and money was recovered.

The STF handed the suspect over to the Kalmunai Police for further investigations.

Meanwhile, STF personnel attached to the Suriyawewa Camp arrested two persons with 13 kgs of cannabis valued around Rs. 700,000 on Sunday.

The suspects had eight kgs and five kgs of cannabis respectively in their possession. Both suspects are residents of Hambegamuwa.
