Motor race leaves two dead

Two persons died due to an accident that occurred during a 4 X 4 motor vehicle race at Owitiyawatta in Kochchikade at around 1.45 pm yesterday, Police Spokesman SP Ajith Rohana told the Daily News.

He said a 20 year old youth died on the spot due to head injuries while another died in hospuital.

According to the organizers of the event, some of the spectators, including the victims failed to pay heed to the warnings about possible accidents.
