Muslim Media Forum AGM

The 16th Annual General Meeting of the Sri Lanka Muslim Media Forum (SLMMF) will be held on June 30, at 9.30 am at the Postal Headquarters Auditorium, Colombo 10.

Commissioner of Elections Mahinda Deshapriya will be the Chief Guest at the opening session. The All India Muslim League General Secretary, Ms. Fathima Muzaffer, an educationalist and writer will deliver the keynote address on the theme 'Muslims and Media'.

The special event of the AGM will be honouring senior journalists in the country.

Veteran journalist S. Piyasena, former editor Veerakesari M. Nadaraja, Al-Haj A.H.M. Azwer MP, senior journalist/writer "Maana Mackeen', deputy editor Nawamani, Thaha Muzammil, SLBC Muslim Services Director S.M. Haniffa, Nawamani feature editor A.L.M. Sathar, Radio Broadcaster Aysha Junaideen and Information Officer Noorul Ain Najmul Hussain will be honoured for their dedicated services in the media.

The fourth issue of the Media Directory and Media Bulletin of SLMMF will be released at the ceremony.

The election of office bearers of SLMMF for the current year will take place at the 2nd session.
