Fire opposite Borella Police

A sudden fire at two shops opposite the Borella Police station last morning gutted phone accessories and other items . According to Acting Police Media Spokesman SP Sajith Madawatta, a snack bar and hand phone accessories shop had been damaged due to the fire.

The Colombo Fire Brigade and the Borella Police had managed to douse the flames. There were no casualties reported and damage is being assessed. Police suspect that an electric short circuit had been the cause of the fire. Borella Police are investigating.
