Ruhunupura water supply scheme launched

The Ruhunupura water supply scheme which was launched in Hambantota, will provide water to residents of Ambalantota, Hambantota in the Suriyawewa DS areas and commercial and industrial ventures, the Maththala Airport, Suriyawewa International Playground, the Hambantota Sea Port and the new Mahaweli settlement area.

The project is estimated to cost Rs. 13,131 million. Korean Economic Development Corporation and the Sri Lankan Government are funding the project.
