Land documents to the resettled

A ceremony to distribute land documents to the resettled people in Thirumurikandi, was held on June 23.

Industries and Commerce Minister Rishad Badiudeen, Private Transportation Services Minister C B Ratnayake, Parliamentarians Namal Rajapaksa, M Chandrakumar and Governor of Northern Province GA Chandrasiri, were the special guests who participated in the ceremony. They issued the documents to the resettled people. The remaining IDPs of Thirumurikandy who were living at welfare centers and their relatives were resettled yesterday.

80 families received their land documents. Out of them 47 families lived at welfare camps for the last 3 years as well as 33, who lived with their relatives. Govt. Agent of Mullaitivu, N Vethanayagan, Oddusuddan AGA S Thireshkumar and military officials participated at the ceremony.
