Construction work at a stand-still for lack of funds

Construction work on the Deniyahena-Ambalama road in the Ambagamuwa (Ginigathena) Divisional Secretariat division in the Nuwara Eliya District, has come to a complete stand-still.

Although the Ambagamuwa Divisional Secretariat had inaugurated the construction work on the Deniyahena-Ambalama road via Welihinda and Galamuduna a few years ago, it could not be completed due to lack of funds.

As the mid portion of the road that had been partly constructed had washed away due to heavy rains, motorists are compelled to use the road with much difficulty.

Therefore the affected villagers appeal to the authorities concerned to take steps to complete the construction work on the Deniyahena Ambalama road for their travelling convenience.
