Rugby camp in Jaffna a success

A Rugby Training Camp for students and teachers in Jaffna was
conducted by the Jaffna Security Forces Headquarters on June 14,15 and
16 in two venues of the peninsula. Around 120 students and 23 teachers
of leading schools in Jaffna participated the Rugby Training Camp at the
Durayappa ground.
Jaffna Security Forces' (SF-J) Civil Affairs and Public Relations
Office - Jaffna (SF-J) organized the training camp with the intention of
popularizing the sport in the peninsula and to teach basics of the sport
to enthusiasts in the region.
A separate session was worked off at the St. Anthony's ground in
Kayts on June 16 for students and teachers in the small islands.
The camp was conducted with the assitance of National rugby
development coach Sanath Martis and expert Japanese coach Takasi Obara. |
