Katuwana killers will be brought to book - Hulugalle
The government will take all measures to bring
the culprits in the Katuwana double murder case to book, whoever
they may be. This is another effort in eliminating the law of the
jungle, Media Centre for National Security Director General Lakshman
Hulugalle said yesterday.

‘One suspect wanted in connection with the
Katuwana double murder has been identified by a witness. Police are
taking measures to arrest him and get to the root of the crime,’

Mobile phones, chargers found inside prison cell
Police Special Intelligence Unit officers seized
19 mobile phones and an equal number of phone chargers from the
possession of inmates of Negombo Prison. Officers said the phones
and charges were found during search operations inside the prison
carried out on the orders of Minister Chandrasiri Gajadeera on
Sunday morning.

‘Justice should be meted out to criminals’
Criminals will never be protected by the
government and they deserve punishment, Deputy Speaker Chandima
Weerakkody said. He was addressing a public gathering at Imaduwa
recently. The government led by a leader who vanquished the most

never let them flourish in society. The government makes a
