Six-a-side cricket in Kandy

Sixteen teams all over the island have entered the invitation six-a-side cricket tournament organized by the Dharmaraja College and Kandy Sports Council to commemorate the 125th anniversary of the school which falls this year.

The matches will commence today at 9 am and continue till June 3. Lt Col D S Abeygunasekera, Prefect-of-Games, Dharmaraja College, Kandy will be the coordinating secretary of the tournament.

Following are the participating teams according to the draw:

Dharmaraja, Kandy vs Kegalu Vidyalaya.
Wickremabahu, Gampola vs Maliyadeva, Kurunegala.
Kingswood, Kandy vs St Anthony's, Katugastota.
Zahira College, Colombo vs Walala A Ratnayake Vidyalaya.
Poramadulla Central vs Vidyartha, Kandy.
Dharmashoka, Ambalangoda vs St Patricks, Jaffna.
Madeena, Madawala vs Sri Rahula, Matara.
St Aloysious, Ratnapura vs Central College, Anuradhapura.
