Parent attacks vice principal

A vice principal in a popular school in Gampaha was allegedly attacked by a female student’s father and was admitted to the Gampaha Hospital.

The school girl had broken school discipline and the vice principal had advised her about it. When the vice principal was going back home after school, the student’s father had waited for him in a three-wheeler and attacked him with a wicket pole.

Hospital sources said the vice principal’s bones were broken due to the attack. The suspect had fled the area. Investigations are continuing.
