Kilinochchi NGO performance reviewed

A progress review meeting to analyze the work of local and international NGOs functioning in the Kilinochchi District was held on Monday with the chairmanship of the Northern Province Governor GA Chandrasiri at the District Secretariat. All tasks including livelihood development and humanitarian assistance programmes were reviewed. It was decided to carry out programmes after getting approval from the Presidential Task Force and the Regional Coordinating Committee.

The governor emphasized the need of proper analysis while considering livelihood projects. Future action plans of the NGOs were also discussed.

Parliamentarian M. Chandrakumar, Kilinochchi District Secretary Rupavathy Ketheeswaran, Additional Secretary S. Srinivasan and divisional secretaries and representatives of local and international NGOs attended the meeting.
