Lucky needs a home

Lucky was found by accident. His pictures were on Facebook posted by dog lover Samuni Perera - a medical student at Ragama Faculty who wanted help for him.

Lucky had been running around the Ragama campus with a torn limb and cut tail. Both his hand and tail was cut of and he was in screaming pain. Samuni has asked help from many groups and she didn’t get any response. Even though Adopt a Dog in Sri Lanka was over their head with their sterilization camp, several rescues and no funds for their feeding programmes, after seeing the picture of Lucky, they just couldn’t say no.

Lucky is now at the vet and a great thanks goes to one of the team members Shinuka Chandrasekera who was in charge of the rescue. He has undergone surgery and is on the road to recovery. The ADSL team has said that he is completely fine now and all he needs is a home - a place where he can be at peace and happy with the love of a family.
