‘NCP War Heroes’ sacrifice immortal’

Nearly 4,532 War Heroes of the North Central Province sacrificed their lives and a similar number sacrificed their limbs, during the 30 year war, NCP Governor Karunaratne Divulgane said at the victory celebrations at the Anuradhapura public grounds.

He said the dedication and sacrifice made by war heroes for the sake of peace and unity and for the benefit of others is immortal. “We should honour them by developing the country devoid of differences.

Our nation has to remember that we live in one country as one nation under one national flag, Karunaratne Divulgane said.
