Kannangara Vidyalaya beat Carey

C.W.W. Kannangara Vidyalaya beat Carey College by 24 points to 22 in their Singer Leage segment I group 'B' match played at the Rathmalana Air Force grounds recently.

Kannangara score included two goals and two tries. Dinesh Lakmal played a superb game for the winners where he contributed with three tries along with two successful conversions by himself.

Dinusha Maduranga is the other try scorer for the Kannangara team.

Carey College score comprised one goal and three tries.

C. Deshapriya scored the first try of the match for Carey College where R. Akram added the extra points with the successful conversion.

R. Akram, M. Pamuditha and S. Perera scored a try each for the losing team.

Kannangara Vidyalaya will meet Lumbini Vidyalaya on Saturday at the Air Force grounds.
