Solving problems
It is very important for us to solve problems early (minor or major)
and when we realize that delaying serves no purpose.
This is applicable for office and private as well. Some problems if
not solved on time may cripple your future eg.
If we have to undergo an urgent operation please do not delay.
I quote below the following:
a. Correctly assess the depth of the problem and its effectiveness
(present and future) eg. high cost of maintenance and excess staff
b. Consider alternate proposals
c. Consider the effect of solving the problems (you may have to sell a
part of your premises, loss of goodwill etc.) against the benefits
accrue
d. Time factor - It may be better to commence the operation now for
tax benefits
e. Expert advice - very important
f. Dialogue with interested parties (eg. You may have to talk to the
union for staff retrenchment)
g. Proper announcement to the public at large is essential
h. Adhere to all legal procedures
i. Do not deviate from your commitment already agreed
j. Analyze the situation regularly to consider as to whether the action
taken by you is correct.
You may have to consider amendments if original target is not
reached.
I presume public at large would be benefitted by this article.
