Thieves nabbed with loot

Two men who had robbed motorcycles, gold chains and mobile phones from several areas were arrested by Horana Police yesterday.

Police also seized two stolen motorcycles, melted gold and four mobile phones.

The men aged between 35 and 37 are residents of Moragahahena and Seeduwa.

The men are alleged to have snatched gold chains from women in Kiribathgoda and Dompe and sold to shops in Hettiweediya.

The men were arrested at a checkpoint in Horana town while riding two motorcycles.

Police said the motorcycles were stolen from Avissawella and Hanwella.

The suspects will be produced before court.
