Eight police officers transferred

The Police Department has transferred eight police officers including OICs with immediate effect on account of service requirements on the instruction of Inspector General of Police (IGP) N.K.Illangakoon.

Thanamalwila OIC Chief Inspector P. A. A. Hemachandra has been transferred as the Habarana Police Station OIC, Habarana OIC W. A. P. K. Vithanage has been transferred as the Inspector of the Anurarhapura Police Headquarters, Minneriya OIC Inspector L. A. S. Sarathchandra to the Police Field Headquarters in Colombo.

Inspector T. P. W. Palliyaguru has been transferred as the Minneriya OIC from the Galle Police Headquarters, Giradurukotte OIC Inspector W. W. R. R. J. Wedamulla to the Police Field Force Headquarters, Pulasthigama Police OIC Inspector A. P. B. Pushpakura has been directed to the Puttalam Division, Inspector W. M. D. Kamal Abeysiri at the Police Headquarters has been posted to Athimale Police as the OIC and Sigiriya OIC Wajira Athapattu has been transferred to the Nuwara-Eliya Division, the Police Media Unit said.
