Titanic - 100 years later

Location - Southampton
Time - Early morning
Year - 1912

Titanic which belonged to the White Star Line was a huge ocean liner that set sail on her maiden voyage on April 10, 1912 at 7.30 in the morning from Southampton. Four days later, she hit an iceberg in the North Atlantic and sank. This ship was deemed unsinkable but when she sank in the deepest area of the ocean, she took with her an elite 2,200 passengers with the crew. However, 700 survived.

Port side of the Titanic

When the Titanic glided over the azure blue sea with the rich and the famous, a young heiress was on deck watching the waves slashing against the ocean liner in the fading light of the evening. Moments later, she looked up only to meet the eyes of a young Russian runaway, Ramonov who for the moment was undetected.

They both fell in love instantly and the four ensuing days found them inseparable. A collector of art, Julia was showing off her collection to her new-found love when their ship rocked violently.

Suddenly sensors were triggered by the glare of an intense chill. It was an iceberg bouncing towards the Titanic. A massive high pressure system hovered over, stretching deep across the vast ocean unimpeded until it struck with great ferocity which sent the unsinkable giant gradually but quickly down to fathoms unknown.

Thousand five hundred were devoured by the still waters and among them Julia and her Ramonov. The scene was a tumultuous sea with steep waves over which rose their spirits.

In the stretch of the Atlantic, a storm was cohering into a sprawling, swirling mass and unknown to the survivors who were battling with the angry waves, Julia and Ramonov glided over the waves unto eternity. - Gwen Herat
