Sri Lanka hopes to win more medals in 2013 SAARC Games

Sri Lanka hopes to win more medals at the SAARC Games 2013 which is
to be held in New Delhi,India.
The upcoming SAARC Games will be held in New Delhi in 2013. The
Sports Ministry has taken necessary action by providing foreign coaches,
sports managers, national level trainers and other required facilites.
About 800 athletes,coaches and trainers from 43 countries to be
participated for this event.And the 2012 Junior Athletics Championship
is to be held from June 9 – 12 in Colombo.
A sports committee has been appointed to organize the Junior Athletic
Championship.
The special committee comprises of sports administrative presided by
Vice Admiral Shermal Fernando and Major General Daya Ratnayake. Other
members are Sunil Jayaweera, Prema Pinnawala, Col.Sugath Madugalla,
Dr.Lal Ekanayake and the Officials of the Sri Lanka Athletic Association
Interim Committee.
