CEA programme to seek participation of women

The Central Environmental Authority (CEA) will introduce a special programme to seek the contribution of women for environmental conservation activities while guiding them to lead environmental friendly lives.

The programme is to be introduced side by side with the Divi Neguma programme initiated by the Economic Development Ministry. Under this programme, home gardening and organic cultivation will be promoted while providing the necessary assistance to them.

This programme is conducted by the Environmental Education and Awareness Unit of the CEA with the coordination of Child Development and Women's Affairs Ministry and Divisional Secretariat Divisions.
