Old Zahirians take Ranaviru Challenge Trophy

Zahira Old Boys Rugby Association (ZOBRA) organised the “Zahira Ranaviru Challenge Trophy 2012” and annual rugby encounter of Old Boys vs Present boys and an exhibition match between Board of Governors team and ZOBRA team at the college grounds recently.

Old Zahirians won the match and captain of the team T J Cuncheer received the Ranaviru Challenge Trophy from the chief guest Former Old Zahirians Sports Club Rugby Committee Chairman and Sri Lanka Freedom Party Colombo District Organizer Fawzan Anver.

Zahira College Principal Mohamed Jiffry gave away the challenge shield to the exhibition match winner ZOBRA captain Nazeem Ghafforr.

Distinguished old boy Lft. Col. T Draheem, Zahira College Sports Council Chairman Tony Amith, Project Chairman Hilmy Hamid, Past Rugby Players, students and parents were present.
