DSI powers MCA ‘F’ Division 30-over tournament

DSI (Pvt) Ltd will sponsor the MCA ‘F’ Division 30 overs League Tournament 2012 for the third consecutive year.

The tournament will include 100 half-day matches. Two matches will be played per day.

The tournament will be conducted in two stages, round-robin stage and knock-out stage. The first stage consists of 85 matches, starting from April 29. After the completion of the league tournament, the top 16 teams in the points table will be eligible for the Knock-out stage, which will be played from May 12 to 20. The final will be played on June 02.

The best batsman, best bowler and the man of the series will be rewarded with ‘AVI’ cricket gear based on the performances in the league stage matches while the the man of the final will also be rewarded. DSI Sales and Marketing General Manager Rohan Somawansa said “this is a very good opportunity for DSI (Pvt) Ltd. Other than this, we have given our support for Volleyball too, while supporting the under-19 cricketers this year. We are happy to be in a partnership with Merchantile Cricket Association and hope to continue at future tournaments too.”
