Trishaw, bus collision kills two

Two persons including a driver died and two others were seriously injured in a three wheeler-private bus collision at Marawila on Monday.

Police reported that the three wheeler had collided head-on with the oncoming private bus. Three wheeler driver, K D Benet Lesley and passenger G Anton Fernando succumbed to their injuries at Marawila hospital. The other two passengers in the three wheeler, a man and a woman were admitted to the Colombo National Hospital.

The driver of the private bus has been arrested and was to be produced at Marawila magistrate's court yesterday. Marawila Police are investigating.
