Suspect who burgled over 25 houses in Athurugiriya arrested

Some stolen items recovered by the Police

The Police arrested a man who had allegedly burgled over 25 houses in Athurugiriya. The Police raided his house and recovered several stolen items. Among the stolen goods were six laptops, an LCD television, two wristwatches worth around Rs 250,000, five cameras, a projector, a home theatre system and 25 sovereigns.

Investigations revealed that the suspect aged 32 is a father of one and is a resident of Egodawatte, Oruwala. Investigations also revealed that he is a gambler.
