New managers for 23 sports events

The ministry of sports has decided to appoint sports managers for 23 events of the South Asian Games, which is to be held at New Delhi, India next year, with the aim of achieving more medals for Sri Lanka.

The Managers will be appointed to look into matters pertaining to a successful participation and performance of the Sri Lankan Sports men and women at the SAARC games.

Proper training targeting 23 events will commence from May 01.

Several Foreign coaches are already in the country to train the Sri Lankan sports men and women while other foreign experts in the fields are due in the country shortly to commence training, the sports Ministry said.
