Zavia SC meet Light House SC in Final

The final of the Beruwala Football League inter-club soccer knock-out tournament will be played between Zavia Sports Club Dharga Town and the reigning champions Light House Sports Club Beruwala tomorrow at Zahira College Green Dharga Town. The match will kick-off at 3.30 p.m.

Fifteen teams participated in the tournament which started in January 2012 and was organized by Beruwala Football League.

Zavia S.C Qualified for the final when they beat last year's Super League Champions Berbaryn Sports Club Beruwala by one goal to nil in the first semi final. The reigning champions Light House Sports Club entered the final defeating the Young Men's Sports Club Dharga Town by three goals to nil.

Both teams meet in a final for the first time and both have provided top class soccer in their qualifying group matches in the premier league tournament conducted by Football Federation of Sri Lanka. Football Federation of Sri Lanka will provide referees and security officers.

A large crowd is expected to witness this prestigious final. Zavia S.C will be Captained by M.Saheer (Lucky) and his deputy will be M.S.M. shahim. Light House will be captained by M.M.M. Nafaiz and his deputy will be M.T.M. Fahdan. This game will be played under the distinguished patronage of Beruwala Football League president M.S.M. Fazlan. Fisheries Minister and Kalutara District MP Rajitha Senarathne will be the chief guest and the guest of honour will be Kalutara District MP M.S.M.Aslam and Kalutara District MP Arjuna Ranathunga.
