Benedictines into quarters

St.Benedict’s College qualified for the quarter finals of the Dialog
Youth U-19 T20 Championship when they beat Prince of Wales
College,Moratuwa by four runs and two wickets at the pre-quarter final
match played at Kotahena yesterday.
Taking the first lease of the wicket, Cambrians hit 146 for eight in
20 overs,T.Dilshan helped the side with 40 runs while C.Aponso
contributed with 30 runs.J.Perera (two for 16), D.Angelo(two for 35),
Y.Soyza(two for 25) and C.Jayasanka(two for 10) were the bowlers to
restrict the visitors innings.
St.Benedict’s in reply, scored 150 for six in 20 overs.
T.Silva knocked 34 runs while J.Perera and M.Madushanka supported
with 29 each.
T.Dilshan was the most successful among the Cambrian bowlers.

Zahira in an easy win
St.Sylvester’s College,Kandy recorded an easy win over Zahira College
in the Dialog Youth Under 19 T20 Championship when they beat Zahira
College by a run and three wickets in their match which concluded at CCC
Grounds yesterday.
Zahira College were skittled out for 93 runs in 14.4 overs.
Dilshad Hilmy was the most successful among the batsmen.
S.Dissanayake bagged three for 9 while I.Samarananda took three
wickets
In reply, St.Sylvester’s scored 94 for 7 in 16.2 overs with the help
of K.R.Ekanayake(24) made the game much easier for St.Sylvester’s side
.Pradeep Ananda was the restricted the Sylvester’s innings with two for
11.

Richmond tame De Mazenod
Richmond College,Galle won the T20 match beating De Mazenod
College,Kandana by 62 runs at the the Dialog Youth Under 19 T20
Championship T20 match ended at Bloomfield Grounds yesterday.
Richmond College hit 110 runs in 19.3 overs. H.Madushan was the most
successful among the Richmond batsmen.Nadeesha Silva captured two for 24
and Shaluka Deemantha bagged two for 24.
De Mazenod College were bundled out for a paltry 48 runs in 10 overs.
The Mazenodian innings were dominated by Richmond bowlers. Thisara
Bhanuka was the most impressive among the bowlers with three for
11.A.K.Tyron bagged two for 11 while Prabath Nishantha also captured two
for 10.
