Pipe-borne water for Dambagalla

A new water supply project was commissioned at the Dambagalla,
Makulla town area in the Madulla Divisional Secretariat division
recently addressing a long-felt need of the area.

Vijith Vijayamuni Zoysa addressing the ceremony said with the dawn of
peace the government takes all measures to fulfill the basic
requirements of the public to provide them facilities such as transport,
health and infrastructure to lead a comfortable life.
Uva Provincial Chief Minister Shashindra Rajapaksa who graced the
occasion said: "The Uva Provincial Council plays a vital role in the
economic development of the province. Today, I am happy that the rural
areas are marching forward from strength to strength with the able
leadership of President Mahinda Rajapaksa. When Western forces pork
their fingers into our internal affairs, we should provide all support
to the government to achieve its goals."
Rs 7 million funded by the Economic Development Ministry had been
spent for this water project under the Gama Neguma programme.
Madulla Divisional Secretary A. G. R. M. Jayathilaka, Madulla
Pradeshiya Sabha chairman Chaminda Pushpakumara and other officials also
participated.
