Student clash: 25 arrested

The Kandy police yesterday arrested 25 students of the Bogambara Higher Technology Institute in Kandy, following a clash between two student groups. Police sources said that two students had been injured following the clash and were receiving treatment at the Kandy General Hospital.

The reason for the brawl was yet to be revealed and initial investigations have found that teasing a girl of the other group has been the bone of contention. An identification parade will be held tomorrow. Kandy Police are investigating.
