Nestle Executive VP in Sri Lanka
S A Nandkishore, Executive Vice President of Nestle‚ worldwide
arrived in Sri Lanka yesterday. As one of the highest ranking members of
Nestle's global executive board, his first ever visit to the country is
intended to reconfirm Nestle's commitment to the development of Sri
Lanka and to acknowledge the progressive development of the country.
As executive board member of Nestle‚ Nandkishore is the new Head of
Nestle operations in Asia, Africa, Oceania and the Middle East.
Nandkishore will inaugurate Nestle Lanka's third milestone in its Rs
10 billion investment commitment to Sri Lanka with Basil Rajapaksa,
Minister of Economic Development, and also meet with Speaker Chamal
Rajapaksa and other key officials during his visit here.
Nandkishore joined Nestle India in 1989. With a high profile and
global career spanning over 22 years in Nestle‚ Nandkishore has held
many distinguished positions across the world including Indonesia, at
the headquarters in Switzerland and in the Philippines.
He was also the Global Business Head of Nestle‚ Nutrition, which is
the world leader in specialised nutrition, before assuming his current
position.
Today, Nandkishore is a member of the Nestle‚ worldwide executive
board. He is also a board member of the Nestle‚ Institute of Health
Sciences (CH) and an active member of Nestle‚ Nutrition Council (CH).
Nestle Lanka is part of the Nestle Group. Nandkishore's landmark
visit to Sri Lanka reflects the Nestle Group's optimism of the growth
opportunities in Sri Lanka and its strong confidence in Nestle Lanka's
performance.
The company delivered a solid 20% revenue growth in 2011 and was
awarded the country's highest business honour, the Best Corporate
Citizen award in 2011 by the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce.
