Thineth Manishka hit a six of the last ball of the innings to help Maliyadeva College, Kurunegala win a thriller against S.D.S.Jayasinghe MMV Dehiwala in their inter schools limited overs match played at Dehiwala yesterday.

Chandika Bandara (four for 26) and Hashan Gunathilake (three for 57) ripped off the SDS Jayasinghe batting line up for 220 in 47.3 overs.

Devans needed 12 runs in the last over to surpass the home team's score of 220. But Sarinda Dissanayake (30 n.o.) and Manishka (29 n.o.) who played two determined innings’, scored eight runs in the first five deliveries of the last over. Requiring four to win in the last delivery, Manishka finished off with a six to beat the home team by two wickets. Kusal de Silva was the star behind the Maliyadeva scoring when he collected 48 runs inclusive of four sixes and three boundaries.
