Husband axes wife

A 35 year woman was attacked with an axe by her husband injuring her seriously. She was rushed to the Dambulla base hospital by neighbours, in a critical condition.

According to police investigations, there had been a heated argument between the husband and the victim's wife.

The man had then lost his control and attacked her.

They were residents in the Naramgasyaya area.

Galkiriyagama police are investigating.
