Gama Neguma aims at one project per village

The Economic Development Ministry has drawn up plans to provide ‘One
project per village’ under the Gama Neguma Project, ministry Additional
Secretary R R A K Ranawaka said.
The national ceremony for the ‘One project per village programme’
will be held in Kalutara on March 23. The ministry has allocated Rs
14,000 million for this project for 2012, Ranawaka said.
Under this project, the ministry plans to introduce development
projects throughout the country, he said.
Wevita will be developed under the first stage of the project,
Ranawaka said.
The government has drawn up plans to setup jogging tracks along
branch roads, he said.
Road development projects, providing infrastructure facilities and
renovation projects of relevant reservoirs are included in the plans, he
said.
The ministry has drawn up plans to complete work by June 30, Ranawaka
said. |
