Isipathanians on stage

Isisara 2012 – grand musical show of Isipathana Vidyalaya would be held at 6.30 pm on March 24 at the Colombo Sugathadasa Stadium.

The guest artistes invited for the occasion are Edward Jayakody, Charitha Priyadarshani, Lakshman Wijesekera and Damayanthi Jayasuriya. About 85 school children are expected to participate.

Several popular songs in Sinhala, English and Tamil would be sung by these school children.

A very special feature of Isisara programme is the presentation by master musicians who received their education at Isipathana led by music maestros Ranga Dassanayake, Anthony Surendra, Lalith Ponnamperuma, Sumith Mandanayake, Sarath de Alwis and others.

The training of the school children for Isisara was imparted by the old boys of the school – Avishka Laknath Gunaratne and Mindada Madawa Dickwella under the guidance of the principal Arutha Perera and the able directions of the music teacher-in-charge Taranganee Pathiraja.

The loudspeakers for Isisra will be provided by Pushpakumara Batangala, stage lights and direction by Sajith Kodikara, stage decor by Thilak Kaluliyana and Upul Weerasinghe, event manager will be Videsh Ambegoda, project chairman will be Lalith Gamage and the script by Piyal Weerasinghe.

Tickets for Isisara were presented by the Old Boys Union and are availabe at the main office of the school or at the Sugathadasa Stadium gate entrance on the day of performance.
