Camp in India for child artists
Indian Council for Cultural Relations, New Delhi is organizing an art
camp titled 'Cultural Confluence-United Colors' for young artists from
South Asia to be held at New Delhi from May 25 to 31.
Children between 13 to 18 years are eligible to participate in the
camp. The children who wish to participate may forward their photograph,
date of birth certificate (copy), address proof and previous recognition
in painting and the details of the guardian/ artist/teacher etc. to
Indian Cultural Centre, 16/2 Gregory’s Road, Colombo on or before March
28.
The selected children will participate in the painting camp and the
paintings created in the camp will be exhibited in New Delhi and would
subsequently displayed in other countries.Indian Council for Cultural
Relations (ICCR), New Delhi will arrange stay of the children in New
Delhi. In addition to that a cash honorarium of Indian Rupees 10,000/=
and a commendation certificate from ICCR will be given.
The children who participate in the camp will be taken to visit the
National Gallery of Modern Art India, various other Cultural Centres and
Schools in New Delhi during the camp.
There will also be a number of cultural performances and heritage
walks held by professional painters and photographers. In addition to
their visits in Delhi the children will be taken to Agra to enable them
to see Taj Mahal one of the World’s Wonders.
